There is not a single taco truck that tastes better than Killer Tacos! Alberto made the entire catering experience so easy on me. He is extremely professional, polite, and attentive. Alberto anticipates guests needs and he constantly strives to make the guests feel special. His margaritas, steak tacos, and guacamole are the BEST in Orange County!!! I am so impressed by Killer Tacos and I will continue to hire them for all my future parties!

I hired Killer Tacos for my Birthday Party and I was absolutely blown away by not only the food but the service of Alberto and his staff. They were very accommodating to all of my questions and needs. They brought steak, chicken and shrimp tacos along with ceviche and you can clearly tell that they used quality ingredients. Mexican food is my favorite and killer tacos is by far the best tacos I've ever had. That is huge considering I'm Mexican myself haha
I love that it is family owned and operated. I highly recommend Killer Tacos for any event.

Alberto and his staff do an Excellent job with there food and service.
They come in on Most Fridays to our work and serve about 40-50 people (on the average) Lunch. We have lunch brought in Monday thru Thursdays every week and Fridays we'll enjoy different Food trucks or food catering setups. Killer Tacos is definitely everybody's favorite food catering service here at work. People here even use them at there personal home parties and love them.

I met Alberto and team when they catered for our office. Since then we had them cater our 1 year olds birthday party. Everything was very easy and always fresh and delicious. We got carnitas, chicken and beef - everyone raved about the food. The hibiscus tea is subtly sweet and unique. Highly recommend for any event, they are professionals. Looking forward to using them again

Sooo good ! This was catered to my work for our Christmas party and everything was perfect. Alberto is the owner and arrived and made delicious quesadillas to start while he began the tacos ! The shrimp was so delicious and the salsas were perfect ! He also provided ceviche and rice and beans. You gotta try the beans ! He walked around and cleaned up some of our plates and made some small conversation. Definitely recommended for some delicious tacos brought to you.

Quite literally the best catering I've ever had. Amazing margaritas, tacos, salsa, etc!!! I couldn't even find anything negative to say about this experience. SO AMAZING 10/10 recommend. Alberto the owner is extremely sweet and attentive to your wants and needs. So awesome. Can't wait to hire them for another event.

I have used Killer Tacos catering for years and have never been disappointed! They bring everything including exceptional, quality ingredients, offer a beautiful presentation and make the best hand shaken margaritas that you will enjoy. If you're smart, I recommend you request their delicious Tres Leches Cake...it's divine! Their service includes attention to detail and great clean up as well. My guests always want their number at the end of an event....I highly recommend them!

I had Killer tacos cater my Fourth of July party this year and it was a HUGE success! My guests LOVED the food. They are still talking about it 3 days later. The food was fresh and delicious. I had Alberto make his famous margaritas and he served all my guests. Those were incredible drinks! The best I ever had. My home is at the beach and our party was on our roof. Alberto came with his grills and catering trailer and cooked everything fresh out side on my driveway. He then supplied chaffing dishes and brought all the food to the roof. His beautiful wife arranged the entire food table with gorgeous platters and bowls that added to the ambience of the day. She created pretty table cards that described each dish and placed it by each chaffing dish and bowl/platter. Quality! Attention to all the details! As a host of a party I was pleased... oh the ceviche , gaucamole and chips were so delicious. That Ceviche was AMAZING! They were on time, pleasant to work with and cooked and served great food. Highly recommend! But don't have them for the fourth of July please because I need them next year also... ok!

Having just hired a taco cart for a party of my own, it was interesting to see such a drastic comparison in service and quality of food at another 'taco guy' party. My taco guy was the type you would expect, with the stainless cart, cooking away Baja style street tacos with the usual condiments, all served up on disposable plates and topped with mild sauces and an allotted serving time of two hours.
The Waiter, otherwise known as Alberto Hernandez, was not this type of taco guy. Perhaps he possesses the ability to deliver average food and service, but not this night. This party featured Alberto watching over his cook while he grilled fresh skirt steak atop a 60' Wolf range; not his of course, but attached to the homeowner's kitchen. This is his typical mode, cooking inside the home of the party host. The tacos were served on real plates, with fresh, made-that-day corn tortillas; not the small doubled up type, but regular sized torts with plentiful delicious and tender meat. The meat alone was fantastic, and worthy of a restaurant steak, a good one. All this comes at a price, of course, but impressive nonetheless. Alberto stressed that his tacos were 'Sonoran' style, differentiating from the small Baja types.
Atop the enormous kitchen island were all the condiments, which were all fresh and delicious. The red salsa was decidedly mild, with just a hint of a kick, perfect for this type of crowd. I spoke with Alberto at length about his food, and he stressed the importance of gauging the partygoers. He had recently catered a party for an Hispanic crowd, and naturally made salsa with a lot more heat for them.
The tacos: Like I said, fresh and delicious choice grade skirt, tender and pink, and nice and hot to order. Soft and fresh tortillas. The beef tacos were served plain, with the choice of toppings, if any, left to the eater. These were worthy of five stars. I tried one with the condiments of cilantro and onion, and tried one with the salsa, but just couldn't justify bastardizing that meat. It was too good.
Shrimp tacos: Also delicious, and made to order. Several large shrimp were served in the same soft corn tortilla with tender diced red and green bell pepper, and a little julienned green onion. These tasted of Vera Cruz, and the shrimp flavor wasn't at all lost, rather enhanced. Really good.
Guacamole: Really as good as it gets.
Quesadillas: He made these fresh for the kids, and they were devoured. The amount of cheese is generous. The preparation was simple, but the result was quite popular, even some parents sneaking a bite from their kids' plates and giving a nod of approval while chewing. (I was one of these parents.)
Service: Alberto made himself available to guests inside the house, as well as those outside who were busy watching the Christmas boat parade in Lido. It was nice not having to stand in a long irritating taco line. Alberto took orders and delivered his tacos with a smile. His cook was equally professional and well groomed, as was another helper who appeared to be helping with additional prep and cleanup.
The prep for my own taco party included an hour of setup. Alberto told me his prep starts at five AM for an evening party. Service is typically two hours for taco partys. The Waiter had no time limit, nor any limit on food. Granted, this wasn't your typical taco party, and was clearly catering to an upscale clientele. I was there for about four hours, and Alberto was there long before me, and was still cooking away when I left. I really couldn't give a higher recommendation.
For this level of service, I think there were around 70 guests, Alberto charged $14 per person, which was exactly double what I paid for my taco guy, who showed up two hours late, by the way. You get what you pay for and, in this case, the value was clearly present.
If you think taco catering is too lowbrow for a cocktail party, you haven't been to one catered by The Waiter (Alberto).
Just an FYI: The Waiter does both inside and outside catering, and also caters bacon-wrapped hot dogs, BBQ, and hot dogs and hamburgers. I haven't tried any of these, but he has that info on his business card. They also offer full service.

I've eaten their food a few times and haven't found anything I don't enjoy. The staff was friendly and everything i tried was delicious. The tacos tasted authentic and reminded me of vacation back in Mexico. 10/10, would definitely eat again.

Red Chile OC catered a company event and their chili stuffed with shrimp was amazing!!! They also had great tacos and fresh salsa, but the chili stuffed with shrimp was to die for.
